Review:
This towel has a hood embroidered with a design in one corner and a cut out with poppers at the opposite corner so you can fasten it around your neck. The idea is that you can attach the towel to you so that during bathtime you don't get splashes of water on your clothes, and when bathtime is over, you have the towel to hand so you can place the hood over your child's head and wrap them up in the towel.
I was skeptical about their usefulness, as I couldn't see the point of attaching the towel to you, but actually it is quite helpful. The towel is there ready when you need it, and it is easier to wrap your baby up in the towel than a normal towel. I discovered this when one day I picked up a standard hooded towel (without poppers), and found that I couldn't arrange the towel on my shoulder/chest area and pick my baby out of the bath very well and ended up holding him against my clothes and getting soaked!
Having the towel draped over your front (fastened with the poppers) does make it easier to take your baby out of the bath without dropping the towel and getting your clothes wet. And the hood is good as you can put this over your child's head and it keeps his head warm as you are drying the rest of him, and it keeps the towel up so it doesn't fall away from his shoulders and back. On the down side I find the popper difficult to open with one hand if thats all you happen to have free. I imagine the poppers are useful until your child can stand up as then you could wrap them in a normal hooded towel just as easily.
