What Would You Invent As The Next Big Thing In Baby Products?
We find that a lot of the most innovative baby products on the market are in fact, invented by Mums! So we thought we’d get out there and speak to the Mum’s of the world! We asked 58 women:
If you had the chance to stand in front of Theo and Co. on Dragons Den with your own ingenious invention for a brand new baby product, what would it do?

Many of the Mums we asked suggested safety gadgets to prevent trips, tumbles and wandering hands. Luckily for them, these products do exist (just nobody told you about them until now!)
“A way to have the windows open in the summer heat, but not have to have eyes in the back of my head when the kids are playing nearby”
Window Restrictors come in a range of varieties, all with the purpose of ensuring you can ventilate your room, and avoid trapped little fingers, or a window opening too far. Easy to fit, and allowing the window to stay open enough to let the breeze in, but not enough to let an escapee out!
“A portable, easy to take around chair that keeps my baby in one place whilst they’re eating”.
The TotSeat was invented by a Mum that had the same predicament. It’s a challenge in itself to enjoy your lunch with baby on your knee enjoying theirs in the absence of a high chair. The TotSeat is a lightweight fabric seat that fits to any chair, keeping baby upright, safe and comfortable. Portable, flexible, washable. Genius!
“A product that stops my toddler falling out of bed, but doesn’t make them feel as though they’re still sleeping in a cot”.

Of course, we couldn’t leave out the more creative ideas that came from our budding inventors – we’ll keep our eyes peeled for when these hit the market!

“A gadget that makes me invisible when breastfeeding in public”.
“A baby bubble to protect baby from everything!”
“A doll that looks like mum so that he thinks I’m there when he wakes at night”
“Something to catch items thrown from pushchairs”
“A musical carpet around the bed so I know when he gets up in the night”
